Iron Ring : double bed size, professionally quilted by Signature Quilts. This quilt was made for my eldest son William to celebrate his graduation from Carleton University in June, 1999, with a B.Eng (with distinction). He wanted a quilt design with a representation of the much-prized iron ring that all graduating engineers receive. (The iron ring is made out of the metal of a bridge that collapsed, in an attempt to keep these budding engineers humble.) A second circle made of iron grey to represent that ring has been inserted into one of the twenty multicoloured circles. The border is a sawtooth pattern.
