Diamonds - streak of lightening: double bed size, professionally quilted by Signature Quilts. this quilt was given to a friend from law school. I wanted to do a streak o' lightening design, so my husband devised this irregular diamond pattern. the pattern was drawn beforehand on squared paper so that I knew how to sew each block. The border adds an extra bit of visual interest to this quilt, i think. I had to patch the top and the bottom border as I couldn't fit the pattern exactly across the width of the quilt. This is one of my husband's favourite quilts, perhaps the one he likes best (so far...).
