Scrap blocks quilt - custom quilted by Lynn Couroux who said she got really bored with it(!) The quilting is a series of circles - lots of circles, on practically every block. The quilt was assembled using blocks left over from other projects. When the pile got too high for our cat to sleep on safely, I got the brainwave to piece the blocks into a quilt. It was a lot of fun to do. The infilling wasn't too strenuous - the piecing took about two weeks - that's practically instant gratification for a quilter! I plan to do this every time the scrap blocks mount up - it's a lot of fun to make a quilt this way. It isn't entirely my own work - the block with hexagonals was given to me along with some material by a family friend. this quilt was given to my sister and it looks fabulous in her farmhouse back bedroom. |
